I'm inspired by old Medieval cultures: pagans, druids, witches.....cultures and societies that have a very close relationship with the Earth - traditions that had a real working understanding of the Earth's energies. These people often made use of symbols which I am also interested in.I have always loved the use of symbols and trying to figure out their meaning. The meaning is not always clear and forthright...but I have figured out that they are always about connectedness. And I want to try to live this connectedness instead of just reading about it.
So I thought this might be a good way for a wanna-be-hermit-living-in-my-own-head type of person to start connecting and sharing with others. Now, I don’t know that I am terribly adept with words or prose but I do enjoy creating visual art. Art of course is symbolic of what is in our hearts.....and sharing what is in our hearts is the deepest and best kind of sharing......cause if it is done right it is always truthful and honest....and that is what makes it so appealing and beautiful. Lydia lives in Manitoba Canada.
