I was listening one day to a favorite artist and was carried away by his song. I did not have a complete vision at the time but rather the painting "evolved" gradually over a period of time. I did not "think it through" and it shows in the composition and however, it is an emotional declaration from the "gut". It is a clear picture of what Jesus accomplished for a lost and dying world. The Bible says that the Word became flesh and lived among us. That was Jesus. He left the magnificence and splendor or heaven, He divested Himself of all His rights and power. He became a man. He left all that He had and all that He was to experience what it is to be mortal and to provide a way for us to be restored to relationship with our God Who loves us with everything He is. Because of our evil hearts and because of God's absolute purity, He had to find a way and so He willingly gave up His life - for us. One drop of His Precious Blood is more than enough to redeem all of humanity. The Scales of Justice are satisfied by Just One Drop of the Saviour's blood.
