About Us
Our book club began as a seed of together and grew into a tree. We were a dozen random book worms who agreed to meet monthly, taking summers off. And although we loved the world of literary greats, we truly wanted a deadline to finish a book and then meet over food and wine to discuss. Occasionally themes from the book are intertwined throughout the evening's conversation but mostly the books entertain us and the get togethers enrich our lives.
Some of the books that we have read include Bel Canto by Patchett, The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson, The Glass Castle by Jeanette Walls and Lullabies for Little Criminals by Heather OĠNeil. We have experimented with non-fiction and memoirs but the majority of titles fall under general fiction. We find that general fiction appeals to the masses yet still enables a variety of opinions. Although our group has changed leaders once or twice and the membership has morphed somewhat, we are still strong as a collective and hope to continue to challenge one another through written word. As our reading list grows, so does the wine.
